  • Name: Doug Noebe
  • Height: 5′ 7″
  • Weight: 198lbs
  • Birthdate: 7-12-63
  • Hometown: Canton, Ohio
  • Tell us a little about yourself: Married for 25yrs, have one son and have worked for the Timken Company for almost 29yrs and love the sport of Powerlifting.
  • Why ICG: The reason I joined the ICG 5 years ago was I was frustrated with the way my bench was going and I new back then they had the reputation of having great bench pressers. I new Jeff Begue would be able to help me out with my technique and help me learn how to get the most out of my shirt.
  • What got you into Powerlifting: Powerlifting is one of those sports that challenge you both mentally and physically to see how far you can push yourself over your limits.
  • Most influential person to your lifting career: Has to be Jeff Begue, he has taught me so much in the 5yrs I have been at ICG. He has pushed me over my limits to see if I had what it takes to become a world champion in the WABDL.
  • Most notable accomplishments in powerlifting:  For me was setting a 25lb pr in the bench press to come from behind and win the Masters Class 47-53 at the 2010 WABDL World Championship in Las Vegas.
  • Favorite lift:  Probably the bench press because it is the lift I’m most competitive at although I enjoy doing full meets.
  • Favorite quote: “You will either learn the pain of discipline or learn the pain of loss and regret”
  • Best advice you have ever been given: Don’t be afraid to fail because sooner or later those failures will turn into victories.
